Richard J. 'Rick' Davis

Richard "Rick" J. Davis, 66, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born December 12, 1953 in Berea and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 45 years moving from Rocky River and North Olmsted. Rick was a self employed tow truck driver and auto mechanic at Remington Towing for 20 years. He had also worked at Foster Towing and Don's Auto Repair. Rick enjoyed target shooting, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Chom (nee Cho) Davis of Vermilion; son, Remington (Angela Webster) Davis of Vermilion; step-children, Jennifer McDermott and Cathy McDermott; grandchildren, Oakley Renee Davis, Gabriel Michael Matthews, and Kauis Anthony Davis; and his brother, John (JoAnn) Merritt Davis of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Merritt Sr. and Thelma J. "Peg" (nee Jennings) Davis. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
