Richard Allen Edwards, Jr.

Richard Edwards, 53, of Lorain, died Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Regency Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born July 31, 1970 in Lorain, OH and had been a lifelong Lorain resident.

Richard  worked for Camaco Lorain Mfg  for the past 6 years.

Richard was known for his sense of humor and enjoyed simple pleasures including  football, playing solitaire, detailing his car, and visiting with his dad.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Cindy (nee Gee)  Edwards;  father, Richard Edwards, Sr.; siblings, Brian ( Bonnie) Edwards and  Laura Phipps; step children, Eric Baatz, Tina Baatz, and Susan Baatz as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alene Baatz and step daughter, Sergeant Jessica Baatz.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.  Funeral services will be Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Riddle Funeral Home.Interment will follow at Birmingham Cemetery, Birmingham.
