Richard 'Rick' Houdeshell

Richard "Rick" L. Houdeshell Sr., 68, of Lorain, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at Autumn Aegis Retirement Community after a lengthy illness. He was born March 6, 1947 in Morrisdale, PA, and had been a Vermilion and Lorain resident since1968. Richard worked for US Steel, Lorain as a bed operator from 1968 until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of AFLCIO #1104 Steel Workers Union and enjoyed watching movies and listening to music. He is survived by his son, Richard L. Houdeshell Jr. of Upper Sandusky; brothers, Joseph Houdeshell Jr. of Amherst and James Houdeshell of Salix, PA; and sisters, Janet Deweese of TX, Beatrice Cyrus of Lorain, and Martha Pollard of Turtle Creek, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. Sr. and Beatrice V. (nee Burton) Houdeshell and brother, George Houdeshell. Private services were held.
