Richard "Rich" Schultz, 67, of Lorain, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. Rich was born February 18, 1948 in Salem , MA, and had been a Lorain resident for the past 55 years moving from Ipswich, Mass. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during Vietnam. Rich worked numerous jobs at Ford Motor Co., American Ship, and the Steel Mills all in Lorain. He was a member of AMVETS Post #22 , VFW Lorain Post # 451; and the American Legion Post # 397. He enjoyed traveling with his mother. He is survived by his brother, Robert "Bob" Schultz of Lorain; son, Richard Schultz, Jr. of Amherst; daughter, Vicki Schultz of Cable; and grandchildren, Taylor, Kayleigh, Nicholas, Justin, and Tiffany. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer William and Victoria A. (nee Iwick) Schultz. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion OH. The Reverend Jim Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst where the Lorain Honor Guard V.F. W.
