Rober P. Dodd

Robert Perry Dodd, 77 of Henrietta, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Community Health Partners in Lorain. He was born May 7, 1930 in Cleveland and moved to Henrietta in 1941. He graduated from the Henrietta High School class of 1944 and the Ohio State University in 1954 with a degree in horticulture. Bob, along with his brother Bill, inherited the family farm, known as Dodd's Hillcrest Orchard in Henrietta, and continued the fruit growing business as co-owners. The farm is still run by the family. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida, boating and fishing on Lake Erie, trips to Mexico and travel within the United States. He is survived by a brother, Jack Dodd of Vermilion and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded-in-death by his parents, Charles P. and Gladys V. (nee Crowner) Dodd and brother, William Dodd. There will be no visitation. Private family services will be held at a later date.
