Robert Borgio

Robert J. "Pepsi Bob" Borgio, 70, of Vermilion, died Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born September 2, 1952 in Cleveland, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 40 years moving from Garfield Heights.

Robert graduated from Holy Name High School, Parma Heights.  He had worked for Pepsi Beverages Co. as a tow motor operator and he had also worked for Schmidts Brewery, Cleveland.

He was a life member of Amvets Post #22 and a member of the American Legion Post #397.  He enjoyed fishing, singing karaoke, and he was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Valerie (nee Samples) Borgio of Vermilion; daughter, Amanda Borgio of Warren; granddaughters, River and Rory; brother, Ray Supek; sisters, Margie Wildlewski and Millie Talarico; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Marie (nee Ward) Borgio; brothers, Tom, Danny, and Mike; and his sister, Rory.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Private interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
