Robert Gorsuch , 66, of Lorain, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Admirals Pointe Nursing Home, Huron after a lengthy illness. Robert was born April 20, 1948 in Everett, PA. and had been a Lorain resident since 1952. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. Robert worked as a Lineman for Ohio Edison until a motorcycle accident forced his retirement. He was a member the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain and a former member of the Lorain V.F.W. Post #451. He enjoyed playing pool, and riding his scooter. Robert is survived by his sister, Beverly (Jim Oswalt) Tonich of Collins; nephew Tom (Neva) Tonich of Huron; great- nephew Nicholas Tonich. He was preceded in death by his parents Elliot and Nellie (Koontz) Gorsuch. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 25th from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain where Lorain V.F.W. Post # 451, and American Legion Post #30 Honor Guard will conduct military honors. The family suggests memorial contributions to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Rd., Lorain, OH 44053.
