Robert "Bob" E. Higley, 52 of Vermilion, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a sudden illness. He was born January 3, 1954 in Toledo and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 13 years moving from the Dublin area. He was the owner and operator of the Vermilion Wendy's and The Pump Bar and Grill in Sandusky. He had worked for Wendy's International, Dublin, OH for more than 20 years, and was still overseeing eight North Central Ohio Wendy's restaurants. He was a member of the North East Ohio ZBimmers, The Pump Dart Ball League, former member of the Vermilion Lions and Vermilion Boat Club. He enjoyed sailing, playing golf, woodworking, landscaping, photography, and especially enjoyed cruising in his BMW Roadster. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Pamela Holt-Higley, daughter, Amanda Higley of Honolulu, Hawaii; parents Donald and Doris (nee Mollett) Higley of Oregon, OH; sister, Connie (Bill) Wiener of Toledo, nephew, Matthew Wiener of Maumee, OH, and niece, Kara (Gradon) Goa of Temperance, MI. Friends may call Monday March 13, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
