Robert Igoe

Robert Igoe, 90, of Vermilion, passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 following a tragic car accident that occurred on Friday, September 15, 2023.

He was born May 21, 1933 in Wooster, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 55 years moving from Toronto, Canada and before from Buffalo, NY.

Robert  was a loving an caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, being the company clerk while stationed in Germany. He graduated from The College of Wooster  in Political Science.

Robert had an outstanding work ethic, being a teacher and counselor to his many employees and associates as an entrepreneur. Throughout his life he had been a salesman, fabricator, stud welder, and an ironworker for Cleveland Local 17. Robert was working full time up to the time of his accident.

He enjoyed jazz music, a good sense of humor and all dogs.

He is survived by his children, Denise A. Igoe and  Cleve R. Igoe;  grandchildren, Robert "Ross"  Igoe and  Lucy Jane (Donald) Jackson; great grandchildren, Tajae, Luca, and Jonah Jackson, and his brother, Thomas (Lee Ann) Igoe.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dolores Margaret Igoe; parents, Samuel and Irene (nee Jefferies) Igoe.

Per Bob's wishes, no services will be held.
