Robert A. 'Bobby' Rogers

Robert A. "Bobby" Rogers, 47, of Vermilion, died unexpectedly Monday, April 4, 2016 at his father's home. He was born February 19, 1969 in Amherst and had been a life long area resident living in Kentucky for a short time. Robert worked as a laborer for Newport Steel, KY before moving back to the area where he helped at Amvets Post #22. He was a member of Amvets Post #22 and was an avid sports fan and loved animals. He also enjoyed living with and taking care of his father. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Johnson of Statesville, NC; father, Arthur Rogers of Vermilion; sisters, Christine Kolek of Massillon, Carole Watkins of Vermilion, and Valerie Donelson of West Salem; and 2 grandsons, Aidan and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan (nee Billington) Rogers and step mother, Peggy Sue Rogers. Private services will be held.
