Robert Williamson

Robert "Rob" "Robbie" M. Williamson, 60, of Vermilion, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Rob was born July 25, 1956 in Birkenhead England and has been a Vermilion resident since 1981 moving from South Africa. He worked as a Business Systems Analyst for Ben Venue Laboratories, Bedford and had also worked for Whirlaway Corp., Wellington and TRW, Elyria. He attended The Chapel, Sandusky and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion where he had been active with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed coaching Vermilion recreational league soccer, boating, and driving his T.A. He is survived by his wife, Jane E. (nee Jacobs) Williamson of Vermilion; mother, Margaret (nee Gahagan) Williamson; son, Nicholas (Jennifer) Williamson of Lakeland, FL; daughters, Bridgette (Brian) Wolfensperger of Nolensville, TN and Jenna (Josh) Campbell of Clermont, FL; bonus children, Sara (Robert) Boger of Maricopa, AZ and Brian Bond of Bellevue; 11 grandchildren: Owen and Lauren Williamson, Leah and Luke Wolfensperger, Maeve Campbell, Natalie, Brookelynn, Ava and Landyn Boger, and Beccalynn and Anthony Bond; brothers, John (Sandy) Williamson of Vermilion and Graham (Kris) Williamson of Vermilion; sister, Margaret (Skip) Woods of Vermilion; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Williamson in 2007. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 from 1-3 pm and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at 12 Noon at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870. Pastor Dave Brown will officiate.
