Roberta. Dean (nee Bullard ), 81, formerly of Vermilion and New London died May 7, 2012 at New London Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Roberta was born October 27, 1930 in Cleveland and had lived in Vermilion most of her life moving to New London to live with her daughter. She was a mental health worker for 20 years and was an advocate for housing and mentally ill persons. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher . She enjoyed camping, reading, traveling and her cats. She is survived by her daughter, Diana ( Glenn) Torgersen, New London;sons, Mark (Deborah) Dean, Vermilion, James (Chris) Dean, Elyria and Matthew (Tammy) Dean, Vermilon; 7 Grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Robert and Carol (nee Hanford) Bullard; her daughter, Toni Dean and half brothers, Francis and Richard Services will be private.
