Rodger Dotson Morgan

Rodger Dotson Morgan,74, of Vermilion, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Lake Pointe Health Center after a lengthy illness. Rodger was born June 13, 1936 in Lorain, OH. He attended Lorain High School, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 38 years moving from Lorain. He was a veteran of the US Marines. Rodger worked for Lorain Products in the inventory stocking department retiring after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Black River Masonic Lodge #786, Lorain. Rodger enjoyed cutting fire wood, and working in his garden. He enjoyed traveling, especially driving out west, and gambling in Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie (nee Krok) Morgan; daughters, Donna (Thomas) Lane of Columbus, Gail Morgan of Hilliard, OH, and Kathleen Morgan of Lorain; sons, Keith Morgan of Vermilion and Lance Morgan of Wakeman; 4 grandchildren: Bryan and Allison Lane and Shane and Ginger Glynn; and a brother, Donald (Darlene) Morgan of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Painter and Flora (nee Hopp) Morgan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22nd from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 P.M. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Karen Hollingsworth of Faith United Methodist Church, Lorain will officiate.
