Roger Willis Bachman

Roger Willis Bachman, 71, of Lorain, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Lake Pointe Health Center after a lengthy illness. Roger was born January 22, 1943 in Amherst, OH, He had been a lifelong Vermilion resident. He was a veteran of the Army. Roger worked for a package store in Vermilion and enjoyed fishing and helping people. He is survived by his brother, LaVern Bachman of Brookpark; nieces, Lori Bachman of Brookpark, Linda Owens and Sherry Crosby of Mississippi, Tammy Bachman of TN, Dawn Weinot of Elyria, Kelly Bachman and Keri Bachman; nephews, Joseph Weinot of Elyria, Murray Weinot of Elyria, Russ Bachman of Elyria, Jamie Bachman of Kipton, Jeff Bachman of Mississippi, Dwayne Bachman of Lorain, Alan and Albert Bachman of Vermilion, Todd Bachman of Grafton, Kris Bachman and Keith and Kip Bachman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bernice (nee Worcester) Bachman and brothers, Melvin, Floyd, Clyde, and Dale Bachman and sister, Shirley Weinot. A graveside service will be held, Friday, June 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion. Reverend Jim Smucker will officiate. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors.
