Ronald G. Barry

Ronald G. Barry, 64, of Wakeman, died Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo after a sudden illness. He was born August 30, 1952 in Bellevue and had been a Wakeman resident for the past 31 years moving from Amherst. Ronald worked as a tool and die maker for Ford Motor Co. both in Lorain and Avon for 45 years. He spent 22 years working the line and the past 23 years in maintenance. Ronald enjoyed flying sport kites, fishing, and tinkering around the house. He loved spending time with his family to whom he was very dedicated. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Christine (nee Bowe) Barry; daughter, Sarah Barry and son, Evan Barry both at home; mother, Alice (nee Schmidt) Barry of Vermilion; brothers, Steven Barry of Wellington and Noel Barry of Oregon, OH and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Barry in 2005. The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion at a later date.
