Ronald S. Beko, 61, of Vermilion, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born August 24, 1953 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 25 years moving from Lorain. Ronald graduated from Lorain High School. He owned and operated Carpet Craft and also worked as a carpenter. Ronald was a member of the Cleveland Carpenters Union and enjoyed car racing, following NASCAR, fishing, and building and fixing things. He will be remembered as an excellent cook, especially his pig roasts, beef roasts, and clam bakes. He is survived by his daughters, Brittany Beko of Chatham, NJ and Katelyn Beko of Vermilion; sister, Cheryl Miller; and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Mary (nee Zima) Beko. The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 from 4 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. The Reverend C. Michael Levelle will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain at a later date.
