Ronald Wilbert Lemke, 86, of Vermilion, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Ohio Veteran's Home in Sandusky after a lengthy illness. Ronald was born June 14, 1932 in Cleveland, OH. He had been a Vermilion resident for the past 46 years moving from Westlake. He was a veteran of the Army serving during Korean War. Ronald worked for Lorain Glass Co as a Glazer for 33 years before retiring. He was a member of the AMVETS Post #22 Vermilion, Vermilion Fish and Game, and St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, crafts, puzzles, dancing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family and friends will always remember him to be the life of the party and a jokester. He is survived by his daughters, Cheri Patton of Sandusky, Elaine (Allan) Rigo of Lorain, Veronica Lemke of TX, Renee Lemke of Las Vegas, NV, Judith (Walt) Keith of Las Vegas, NV, Rebecca (Richard) Missig of Vermilion; sons, William 'Randy" (Kathy) Pace of Lorain, Ronald (Debbie) Wellner of Elyria; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and brother, Carl (Jan) Lemke of Hinkley, OH He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (nee Christian) Lemke and his parents, Wilbert and Louise (nee Haeni) Lemke. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Ohio. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct Military Honors on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by a funeral service. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will take place at Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Township, OH.
