Ronald E. Leshinski , 72, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his home. He was born December 30, 1942 in Vermilion and has been a life long Vermilion resident.Ron graduated from Vermilion High School in 1961 and then began his career with Ford Motor Company. He started on the line at age nineteen and worked his way up through management, overseeing the Lorain and Avon Lake manufacturing plants. Following his retirement in 1995, Ron continued to consult for Ford in the U.S. and Mexico for many years. He was a member of St. Peters Church in Huron and enjoyed farming and watching football. His family was the center of his life. He was generous, selfless, and a great provider. His favorite thing to do was host family and friends at home, enjoying laughs and telling stories over a meal. Those who knew him best were able to enjoy his rich sense of humor, and he showed his love by feeding you or giving you a giant bear hug. He is survived by his daughters, Denise (Bill) Ross of Columbus, Doreen Collins of Monument, CO, Dianne Leshinski (Stephen) of Traverse City, MI, and Sarah Schaffer of Anderson, SC; sons, Ron F. (Alejandra) Leshinski of Houston, TX and Rich (Melanie) Timko of Hillsdale, NJ; 10 grandchildren: Rachael, Sarah, Leah Collins, Nicholas, Hannah, Samuel, Stevie and Ellery Tooker, Alexander Timko, and Alexander Leshinski; half brothers, Don Timko of Huron and Donald Leshinski of Las Vegas; and half sister, Therese Timko of California. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jan M. (nee Gorbach) on Aug 24, 2015; his parents, Dominic and Mary (nee Gima) Leshinksi; and a daughter, Debra Leshinski. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 5th from 10 am until the time of a service at noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH. Friends and family are encouraged to join the Leshinski's for a meal immediately following the service at a location to be announced.
