Rosalene Neely

Elsie Rosalene 'Rosie" Neely (nee Green), 91, of Spanishburg, WV, formally of Wakeman, died Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital, WV after a brief illness.

She was born March 13, 1934 in Diana, WV and had been a Wakeman resident for 60 years, relocating in 2020 to West Virginia to be with family.

Rosie worked for Moen as a Secretary for 23 years.

She was a member of Firelands Baptist Church.  She enjoyed china painting, ceramics, gardening, and sewing.

She is survived by her brother, Jennings L. Green of Calvin, WV and her nephew, Jerome (Salina) Greene of Spanishburg, WV; niece, Stephanie (Scott) Holcomb of Calvin, WV; great nieces and nephews, Leah and Eva Greene and Jacob and Wesley Holcomb.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Chester Neely; parents, Ira and Ida (nee McCourt) Green.

The family will receive friends on March 21, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.  at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Cranberry Baptist Church, 201 Cranberry Dr.; Beckley, WV 25801.
