Rose M Diso

Rose M. Diso (nee Rosso),101, residing at Parkvue Place, Sandusky, Ohio passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 14th, 1920, in Lorain, Ohio to Giovanni and Francesca Rosso. Prior to moving to Sandusky, Rose lived in Lorain for 90 years. Rose graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1938 A. She worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital as a receptionist and retired in 1985 after 15 years. Rose was a member of St. Peter Parish, Lorain and the S.O. H Club that originated in 1942. She enjoyed crafts, sports, and volunteering. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; sisters, Frances (Fred) Montalto, Lena (Tony) Sofia, Chris (John) Bove, Josie (Columbus) Dimaccia, Marianna (Frank) Muha, Sarah (Vincent) Rosso; brothers, John (Goldie) Rosso, Sam (Florence) Rosso, Jack Rosso; grandson, Luke Gerl, and son-in-law Todd. She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Deanna) Diso of Medina, Ohio and Terry Diso of Huron, Ohio; daughter, Roseann Gerl of Bozeman, Montana; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 11 until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in the vestibule at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44053. Father Craig Hovanec will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.
