Rose M. Novak

Amherst - Rose M. Novak (nee Burk), 89, of Amherst, died Friday, June 18, 2004 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, after a brief illness. She was born September 14, 1914 in Hartford, Arkansas. She has been a Amherst resident for the past 50 years, moving from Lorain. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst and enjoyed her family. She is survived by her son, Dale Novak of Vermilion; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a sister, Kathryn Arthrell of Lorain. She was preceded her in death by her husband, William J. Novak June 3, 1999; 3 sisters, Agnes Brown, Julia Reese, and Ann Brogan; a brother, Frank Burk and her parents, Frank and Agnes (nee Mohar) Burk. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 20 from 3-6 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Monday, June 21, 2004, at 11 am. The Reverend Joe Warner, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
