Rosemarie Bennett (nee Kosash), 84, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her home after a short illness. She was born August 19, 1932 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 36 years. Rosemarie worked as an assistant supervisor for Prudential Insurance Company in Lorain and Rocky River for 33 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion and AMVETS Post #22 Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing slot machines. She is survived by her step daughters, Patricia Bennett of Avon Lake and Constance (Terry) Lawson of Amherst; grandson, Reed Paskvan of Avon Lake; granddaughter, Corey Rouse of Strongsville; 3 great grandchildren, Evan, Carson, and Nolan; and nieces, Stephanie (Tim) McNeeley, Christine (Bob) Novak, and Lisa Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Bennett in 1995 and son, Timothy Bennett; parents, Stephen and Mary (nee Kamko) Kosash; and brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Kathleen Kosash. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Father Ronald Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
