Rosemary V. Krause (nee Bybee), 83 of Amherst, died peacefully at the side of her husband of 52 years, Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born August 26, 1923 in Lansing, MI and lived most of her life in Vermilion. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII and had worked as a private duty nurse in Michigan. She was a member of the Amherst Eagles Auxiliary and the Disabled American Veterans. She enjoyed playing cards with her best friend Fern Bailey, collecting dolls and Bingo. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, James Krause; daughter, Patty Baker of Vermilion ; sons, Andy Cadaro of Cambridge, James Krause, Jr. of Lorain, Ricky Krause of Vermilion , and Randy Krause of Amherst; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Melvin and Maude (nee Dare) Bybee; her daughter Connie Cadaro; a son Gary Baker, a grandson, Isaiah Hasan her and granddaughter, Nikki L. Lutz. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Rosemary Krause Memorial Fund at Lorain National Bank, 4455 E. Liberty Ave, Vermilion, to help with funeral expenses . Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until the the time of a funeral service at noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Sister Pat Adams, New Life Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. A military graveside service will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio at 2:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.riddlefuneralhome.com.
