Rosemary Reinhardt (nee Italiano), 89 of Vermilion , passed peacefully into God's arms on Thursday, December 31, 2009. She was born June 29, 1920 in Buffalo, New York and lived in Vermilion since 1974, moving from Sheffield Lake. Rosemary worked as a bank teller at Lorain National Bank, was an operator for Lorain Telephone Company, and had also worked in the IRS offices in Buffalo, NY. While living in Sheffield Lake she became a council women and was very active in getting the Warren Gunther Park built as well as the Sheffield Lake Community Center. She was a member of the Queen of Heaven Church, West Seneca, NY and a member of the Ladies Guild at St. Thomas Parish in Sheffield Lake. She was involved in fundraising to build both churches. She was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion where she was a lector and commentator, and Amvets Post #22 Aux. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, shopping, gardening, and nature. Rosemary was the pillar of strength, guiding light, and teacher of life filled with grace, kindness and respect. However, most of all she had an unending love for her family. Survivors include her son, Randolph Michael (Deborah) Reinhardt of Vermilion; daughters, Roberta Annette Reinhardt of Avon Lake and Lisa Jean (Zane) Kuhl of Vermilion; 5 grandchildren: Barbara Ann Reinhardt, Rod Reinhardt, Elizabeth Rose (nee Kuhl) Fernandez, Natalie Rose Kuhl, and Elliot Joseph Vertucci; and 5 great-grandchildren: Emily Rose and Isabelle Rose Fernandez, Ava Corrin Reinhardt, and Brandon and Jessica Fernandez. Preceding her in death were her husband of 64 years Robert Reinhardt in 2008, parents, Seraphino and Isabell (nee Keefer) Italiano, and a sister, Jean Steinthal-Bernardi. Friends may call Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South Street Vermilion, OH 44089 where there will be a prayer service at 8:45 pm. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010 at 9:30 am followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church 731 Exchange Street Vermilion, with Father Phil Feltman officiating.
