Rosemary Winnen

Rosemary Winnen (nee Conrad),81, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 14, 1935 in Lorain where she had been a life long resident. Rosemary worked as a nurse for St. Joseph Hospital and then as a caretaker at Our Lady of the Wayside. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lorain and enjoyed music, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Michael Winnen of Lorain; daughter, Christa and her husband Lincoln of Huntington Beach, CA; grandchildren: Abby and Ally Winnen and Kurt; brothers, Charles Conrad of Lorain and William (Beverly) Conrad of Greer, OH; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband "Willi" Winnen in 2012 and parents, Alvin and Christine (nee Scherach) Conrad. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 309 W. 8th Street, Lorain, OH 44052.
