Ruth E. Hazelwood

Ruth E. Hazelwood (nee Lambert), 75 of Vermilion, died Saturday, July 15, 2006 in Community Health Partners, Lorain after a lengthy illness. She was born July 28, 1930 in Elgood, WV and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 16 years moving from Princeton, WV. She was an active member of New Freedom Gospel Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing, knitting, cards, and playing games. Survivors include her son, John Hazelwood of Elyria; daughter, Brenda Rhone of Vermilion, 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Lambert of Princeton, WV, and Arley Lambert of Martinsburg, WV; and sister, Garnett Brookman of Vermilion. Preceding her in death were her husband, Garfield Hazelwood in 1990, parents, Arley and Bernice (nee Clemons) Lambert, son, Virgil Hazelwood and sister Linda Weiss.
