Sadie M. Remaklus

Sadie Remaklus,( nee Grandini) 87, of Lorain, died Thursday, January 1, 2004, in Autumn Aegis Nursing Home, Lorain. She was born October 26, 1916, in Carnegie, PA. and was a Lorain resident since 1923. She graduated from Lorain High School in the class of 1937. She had worked as a cleaning person for Southview High School and in the 1940's worked for S. Weitz Co., Lorain. She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain, and enjoyed cooking, ceramics, sewing, making dolls and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Melvin N. Remaklus, to whom she was married 49 years; son, Joseph Remaklus of Wellington, stepsons, Ronald Remaklus and, Dale Remaklus both of Amherst; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, a sister, Emma Warkovich, Lorain, and a niece. Preceding her in death were her parents, Guiseppie and Ascenzia (nee Petrocchi) Grandini, and 2 brothers, Anthony and Paul Grandini. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Ken Wolnowski, pastor. officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
