Sally Louise Buckley

Sally Louise Buckley (nee Wuitowicz), 53, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky after a 6 year fight with breast cancer. Sally was born July 17, 1958 in Lorain. She had been a Vermilion resident since 1983 moving from Lorain. Sally worked as a secretary for 15 years at Mercy Hospital, Lorain. She had been trained as an STNA before working as a secretary. She loved animals and bird watching and put everyone above herself. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Patrick Buckley, of Vermilion; mother, Clara Lodge of Vermiion; her brother, Steve (Debbie) Wuitowicz, Lorain; sister, Diana Puls, of Vermilion; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Wuitowicz. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Saint Francis Animal Sanctuary 12516 Cherry Road, Vermilion, OH 44089.
