Sally Ann Malkowski

Sally Ann Malkowski (nee Wenstrup ), 78, of Vermilion, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain. She was born May 20, 1941in Silver Spring, MD and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 6 years moving from Michigan. Sally worked for the Catholic Church for over 16 years, serving as business administrator for 5 different churches both in St. Petersburg FL and Gaylord, MI. She is also an accomplished author having written several novels. She enjoyed knitting in her spare time but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and her Catholic Church family. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Malkowski of Vermilion, OH; sons, David Sauers of MI and Steven Sauers of FL; step daughter, Susen (Jason) Kuchta of PA, grandchildren, Jonathan and Tiffany; brother, John (Karen) Wenstrup and nephew, Sean Wenstrup. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Eleanor (nee Weiss) Wenstrup. Private family prayers will be held at Riddle Funeral Home September 5, 2019 at 10 am. The Reverend Paul Schreiner will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St., Vermilion, Ohio.
