Sally L. Sage

Sally L. Sage (nee Burford-Branscum), 73, of Florence Twp., died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at her home after a lengthy illness. Born October 31, 1937 in South Amherst, OH she had been a Florence Twp. resident for the past 26 years moving from South Amherst. She graduated from South Amherst High School and worked as a secretary for Nord Center and also sold real estate for various real estate agencies. Sally enjoyed cooking, gardening, following the Cleveland sports teams, spending time in the outdoors, and babysitting her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 18 years, James Sage; 2 sons, Don Branscum of Amherst and Rick (Judy) Branscum of Elyria; 2 daughters, Tammi (Marshall) Board of Vermilion and Linda (Andy) Nickels of South Amherst; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Esther (nee Ott) Burford. Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Sister Pat Adams from New Life Hospice will officiate.
