Sandra Lee Lachner

Sandra Lee Lachner (nee Straub), 76, of Vermilion, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Fairview Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born August 15, 1946 in Cleveland , OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 42 years.

Sandra was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, writing poetry, and cooking.  She especially enjoyed taking care of her home and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard William Lachner of Vermilion; daughters, April Faley of Lorain, Katherine Austin of OH, Andrea Faley of CO, and Elaine O'Reilly of CA; 11 grandchildren, Brent, Alex, Clare, Isaac, Niamh, Bryan, Trey, Mia, Megan, Madison, and Gavyn; 2 great grandchildren, Hudson and Ava; brother, David Straub; her sisters, Sue Brown and Mary Wester; and also survived by Bill and Tracey Lachner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter William Jr. and Elizabeth Mae (nee Walls) Straub; brother, Bill Straub; and her sister, Pamela Pappas.

Private services will be held.
