Sharon May Boyd (nee Klinger), aged 83, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Kingston of Vermilion after a brief illness.
Born on August 17, 1940, in Ronco, PA, she had been a resident of Birmingham for the past 47 years, having moved from Vermilion.
Sharon dedicated part of her life to working at the Kishman Fish Co. and Birmingham Metal Products before focusing on raising her family. She had been an active member of Birmingham Methodist Church and showcased her artistic talents through drawing and painting. Sharon found joy in cooking, reading, and spending quality time playing card and board games with her grandchildren.
Survived by her son, Andrew Dodson of Vermilion, step-daughter Darlene Helmick, step-sons Terry (Sandy) Boyd and Rick Boyd, along with grandchildren Janelle, Micayla, Joshua, Daniel, Tyler, Rebecca, and Anne, and great-grandchildren Trevon, Kelsey, Macie, and Audie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Boyd, in 2009, son Roger Dodson, parents, William Henry Sr. and Kathryn Ruth (nee McKlveen) Klinger and her brother, William Henry Klinger, Jr..
Friends may pay their respects on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by The Reverend Richard Kretchmar. Interment will follow at Birmingham Cemetery.
