Sharon E. Reeves

Sharon E. Reeves (nee Bentley),65, of Elyria, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Sharon was born December 30, 1945 in Burdine, KY, and had been an Elyria resident for the past 17 years moving from Vermilion. She was a member of the Vermilion Church of Christ. Sharon enjoyed reading, card games, watching old John Wayne movies and listening to old country music and gospel music. Her true joy was being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, John Reeves; sons, Greg (Sue) Meade of Sheffield, Noah (Connie) Meade Jr. of Oberlin, and Matthew (Angel) Meade of Grafton; daughters, Janet (John) Pyles of Berlin Hts., Lena (Gerald) Newsome of Vermilion, Renee (Matt) Romell of Berlin Heights, and Tina (Mike) Traster of Amherst; 22 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Bentley of Excel, AL; and sister, Joann Tappone of Ravena, OH; She was preceded in death by her father, George Bentley and mother, Cletis Gasparatz (nee Huff). The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 13, 2011at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mark Weaver pastor of the Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
