Shirley Branham (nee Kidd), 70, of Grayslake, IL died Monday, November 26, 2007 in Holy Family Medical Center, Des Plaines, IL. She was born September 1, 1937 in Dana, Kentucky and had lived in Vermilion from 1979-2003 moving from Lorain. She was a member of the Sonshine Baptist Church in Lorain and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and cooking. Survivors include daughters, Janice Marie Tolson of Virgie, KY and Gerry Gean Marker of Grayslake, IL; son, Marion "Allen" Branham of Amherst; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mae Hampton, Dana, KY, Juanita Hall, Norwalk, Minnie Jarrell, Banner, KY, Faye Lawson, Dana KY and Lori Akers, Dana KY; 2 brothers, Eugene Kidd, Morgan County, KY, and Willard Kidd, Floyd County, KY.. Preceding her in death were her husband, Marion Clyde Branham, 2002, parents, Allen and Cindy (nee Case) Kidd; sister, Aline Crum and brother, William Green Kidd. Friends may call Thusday, Nov. 29, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.and Friday, Nov. 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor David Straub of the Sonshine Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
