Sophia Rita Fackler

Sophia Rita Fackler (nee Warner), 93, formerly of Vermilion, died Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Parkvue Health Care Center in Sandusky after a long illness. Born December 15, 1910 in Lorain, Ohio, she was a Vermilion resident since 1948 before moving to Sandusky. She was co-owner with her husband of Lakeland Lodges in Vermilion and a former member of the Lioness Club of Lorain. She is survived by a son, Robert A. Fackler, Cadillac, Michigan; a brother, Edward Warner, Amherst, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Fachler, 1978, brothers, Paul Warner, Andy Warner, Stacey Warner and Frank Warner; a sister, Ann and her parents, Henry Andrew and maria Anna (nee Machowicz) Warner. Friends may call Tuesday, January 20, 2004 from 2-4 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion . Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at 10 a.m. Reverend Wendell Brooker, pastor of the United Church of Christ Congregational, will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lafayette Cemetery, Lafayette, Ohio.
