Stephenie Anna Clipson (nee Vladiff), 68, of Vermilion and formerly of Sandusky , died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Stephenie was born April 29, 1946 in Sandusky to the late Steven and Doris (Siehl) Vladiff. Stephenie was employed by Lake Erie Lanes in Vermilion for 33 years. She was a member of the Tuesday Morning Early Birds bowling league, and served as league secretary for 38 years. In 2009, Stephenie was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Lorain Women's' Bowling Association for meritorious service. In addition to her love of bowling, she was also a life member of the AMVETS Auxiliary, Post 22, Vermilion. Stephenie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael Clipson of Vermilion; daughters, Shelly (Brian) Shock of Powhaton, VA, and Sara (Douglas) Brumbaugh of Elizabeth City, NC; grandson, Brian Sykes of Raleigh, NC; granddaughters, Rebecca and Elizabeth Shock of Powhaton, VA; sister, Nancy (Mike) Pisarsky of Vickery; 5 brothers, Michael (Pamela) Vladiff of Summerfield, FL, Daniel (Mary Jo) Vladiff, David (Karen) Vladiff , George (Carolyn) Abele Jr. all of Sandusky, and Steven Vladiff of Castalia; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sisters, Stephanie and Joyce; nephew, David; niece, Jessica, and great nephew, Deyton. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 6-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH 44089.
