Sue C. Behnke (nee Williamson), 81, of Birmingham, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 8, 1938 in Cleveland and had been a Birmingham resident for the past 48 years. Sue had worked as a Registered Nurse for Lorain Community Hospital. She was a member of Birmingham United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially loved animals. She is survived by her sons, Todd Behnke of Lorain and Mark (Amy) Behnke of Birmingham; grandchildren, T.J. Behnke, Jimmy Behnke, Ashley Behnke, Marie (Ben) Bogan, Hannah Caruso, Hope (Chase) Ryan, and Sam Caruso; great grandson, Camdyn McDonald; sister, Martha (Bob) Mazzie of Columbus; and her sisters-in-law, Vilma Gersak of Elyria and Mona Williamson of Strongsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Behnke in 2018; parents, Carl and Edna (nee Hughes) Williamson; brother, David Williamson; and her brother and sister-in-law, Shorty and Rita Behnke. Burial will take place at Birmingham Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date.
