Teddy Tokarczyk

Teddy J. Tokarczyk, age 80, of Lorain passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Lorain on November 22, 1930 to the late Joseph and Anna (nee Jakubowski) Tokarczyk. Teddy was a custodian at St. Adelbert's Church in Berea, and had also been employed by Fruehauf Trucking, and AmShip in Lorain. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Teddy was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, and served as head collector. He was also a member of the AMVETS Post # 47. Teddy loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed cards, and watching the Cleveland Indians. Teddy is survived by his sons David Tokarczyk, and Teddy (Arlene) Tokarczyk Jr. both of Lorain; grandchildren Nicole, David, Emily, Michael, and Jennifer; six great-grandchildren; sisters Josephine Keller, Theresa Pasternak, and Helen Pasternak all of Lorain. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Roberta (nee Kochheiser) on May 2, 1994; brothers Frank, Joseph, and Stanley Tokarczyk; sister Mary Walczak. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin, Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Thursday at 9:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Reverend Fr.
