Teena Lepkowski (nee Kuznar), age 84, went home to be with her savior Jesus Christ and reunited with her husband and siblings on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at her home in Ruskin, FL that she shared with her daughter Nina and granddaughters Lynn and Brittany and dog Cesar Bear. Teena was born on August 14, 1931 as the last and youngest child of 14 siblings. She was a lifelong resident of Lorain before moving to Florida in 2014. In her younger years Teena worked as a cashier at Meyer Goldberg's Grocery Store until she took on her most important role as a homemaker where she took care of her elderly mother and four young children. She took pride in that role, making sure her family had a hot meal on the table everyday, homemade pierogi, nut rolls and cheesecakes every holiday and a spotless organized home to live in. She was very creative in her organizational skills and "inventions" to keep things cleaned and like new so they would last forever. In her latter years to keep busy she was the "cleaning lady" for Puskas Flower Shop in Lorain. Teena was very active in her faith and community as she attended St. Stanislaus school, was a member of Nativity B.V.M. church and Altar Rosary Society, a member of P.L.A.V. Post 38's Ladies Auxiliary where she served as the "sunshine girl" due to her love of sending cards. But her most memorable service was being a "Lady in Blue" with the famous P.L.A.V. Ladies Drill Team for over 20 years. This is where her lifelong friendships were made as these ladies traveled and marched all over the USA in various parades and competitions. A group of the ladies even formed a card club meeting faithfully every month for 40 years to play cards and have lunch. Teena was a collector of angels, loved reading, going on family vacations, having card and game night with her grandchildren and having her daily devotional prayer time. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Nina Wooldridge of Ruskin, FL, Darlene (John) Huntley of Lorain, OH and Elaine Mullins of Haskell, OK; her son Ken (Linda) Lepkowski Sr. of Broken Arrow, OK; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband John Lepkowski in 2001; parents Frank and Valeria (nee Jachym) Kuznar; sisters Mary Smigel, Stella Tusko, Lottie Nibert, Judy Trebonik, Jean Podboy, Cecilia and Amelia Kuznar; brothers Mike, August "Gus", John, Joe, Ben and Johnny Kuznar. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9th from 11:00am-1:00pm at Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44052 followed by a small service and burial at Calvary Cemetary. Memorial contributions may be made on her behalf to: St Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be shared on the Morning Journal and www.dombrowskifuneralhome.com
