Terry Lee Marcum

Terry Lee Marcum, 64, of Amherst, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born April 7, 1951 in Holden, WV, and had been a life long Amherst and Lorain resident. Terry worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Co., Lorain for 35 years, retiring in 2007. He had also worked in the Lorain ship yards and for the steel mills. He had attended the First Assembly of God Church, Vermilion and enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and gardening. He had a passion for music, especially playing the guitar and singing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Lana Sue (nee Murphy) Marcum of Amherst; daughters, Melony (Dewayne) Sibert of South Amherst and Rebecca Marcum of Amherst; step daughters, Deanna Sherrard of Vermilion and Christine Whitt of Amherst; step sons, Darrin Whitt of Vermilion, Rodney Whitt of TX, and Michael Whitt of KY; brother, Bill (Roxanne) Marcum of Orville; sisters, Judy (Tom) Adcock of Elyria, Linda (Jim) Dillon of Lorain, Mary (Tom) Benson of Las Vegas, and Patricia (Rickie) Riggs of Vermilion; 4 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Dolly (nee Hensley) Marcum. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 2-6 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. The Reverend C. Michael Levelle will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
