Theodore Ted Tepper

Theodore L. Tepper, 77, of Lorain, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at his home after a short illness. He was born November 21, 1938 in Cleveland and had been a Lorain resident for the past 8 years moving from Vermilion. Ted graduated from Case Western Reserve and worked for his father at Government Chemical, Cleveland. After his father passed, he started Industrial Maintenance, Lorain where he worked for 10 years. He then began selling insurance until his retirement in 2006. Ted loved woodworking and gardening. He also enjoyed bird watching. He was active in Cub Scout as a troop leader for his boys troops as they grew up. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth J. (nee Hertges) Tepper of Lorain; sons, Bennett (Martha) Tepper of Columbus, Steven Tepper of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Daniel Tepper of Costa Mesa, CA; step daughters, Karen (Christopher) Graber of Atlanta, GA and Cathy Moser of Lakewood; and grandchildren: Lian, Jake, and Rebecca. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Martha (nee Leventhal) Tepper and a sister, Judy Plymesser. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Ohio. Rev.
