Theresa Poltrone

Theresa Poltrone (nee Milasky), 90, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a brief illness. Theresa was born April 26, 1926 in Lorain, OH and was a life long resident. Theresa worked as a cashier for Culinaire Bakery. She was an avid cook and homemaker. She was a member of Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Lorain, Alter Rosary Society, past president of the PTU, and past president of the IAV Auxiliary. She is survived by daughter, Sandy (Joseph) Kozar of Amherst; granddaughters, Stacy (Aaron) Kocsis, Dina Poltrone, and Michelle Parsons; grandson, Jason (Kelly) Kozar; great-granddaughters, Kaila Kocsis, Aubrey Kozar, and Ashley Kozar; great-grandson, Keegan Kocsis; and nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and always available to babysit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Poltrone; parents, Edward and Stella (nee Moczulski) Milasky; son, Joseph R. Poltrone; and brother, Richard Milasky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Dombrowski Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, OH where the Nativity Altar and Rosary Society will lead a rosary service at 7:30 pm. Closing prayers will be said Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain. The Reverend Robert J. Glepko will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The family suggests memorial contributions to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Lorain.
