Thomas Brett

Thomas E. "Tom" Brett, 74, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his home after a sudden illness.

He was born October 4, 1948 in Lakewood where he grew up, he had been a Vermilion resident for the past year and a half moving from Lakewood.

Tom graduated from Baldwin Wallace University and had worked as a chef for Westfield Insurance for 12 years, he then worked in sales for Cisco Foods for 12 years until his retirement in 2014.  After his retirement, Tom worked part time for the Cleveland Metro Parks.

Tom had a passion for cooking and also enjoyed collecting stamps.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan (nee Smith) Brett of Vermilion; daughter, Erin Brett of Syracuse, NY; brother, James (Elaine) Brett of Paonia, CO; and his sister in law, Michiko Brett of Lakewood, OH

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Monica (nee Lauer) Brett and his brother, William Brett.

Private services will be held.
