Thomas Arthur Byrne

Thomas Arthur Byrne, 71, of Knoxville, MD and Cape Coral, FL,died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Cape Coral Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. Thomas was born October 3, 1940 in New York, NY. He was a Director of various departments in the Department of Labor for 32 years, retiring in 1999. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Tom) Keim of Northampton, PA, , Elizabeth (Robert) Smith of Odell, IL, and, Emily (Derek) Johnson of Clifton Park, NY; 9 grandchildren, and a sister, Margaret Stockheimer of Hartsdale, NY He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Truscott Byrne in 2008. The family will receive friends on Monday January 2, 2012 from 10:30 am until the time of a funeral service at 12:30pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Carol Rettew will officiate. Interment will follow at Birmingham Cemetery, Birmingham, Ohio where the Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors.
