Thomas Davis

Vermilion -Thomas G. Davis, age 52, of Vermilion, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born on September 29, 1950 in Logan, West VIrginia. He has been a Vermilion resident for the past 25 years, moving from West Virginia. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake where he worked as a welder. He was a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in West Virginia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, collectingIndian artifacts and gardening. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his sons; Brian Davis of San Francisco, CA, Gregory Davis of Mayfield Hieghts; daughters, Sarah Davis of Mayfield Heights, Lindsey Davis of Vermilion, Julianne Davis of Mayfield Heights; grandaughters, Bailey Allen, Kennedy Allen and Riley Allen; his mother, Beatrice ( nee Watts) Daivs of Henlawson, West Virginia; sisters, Ann Michalek of Springsboro, PA and Donna Bell of Logan , WV. Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank J. Davis, a brother, Donald Davis and a granddaughter, Angel Davis. Friends may call Thursday, May 22, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio, where services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2003 at 11:00am. The Reverend Ed Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. The Vermilion Veteran's Council will conduct military honors.
