Thomas Edward Williams Sr., age 71, of Lorain passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 14, 1940 in Patton, PA the son of the late Charles and Violet (nee Bowman) Williams. He served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1957 to 1959, and the United States Army from 1959 to 1967. Tom was a rigger, iron worker, and a caster lab technician for U.S. Steel and R.T.I. retiring in 2000 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Polish Club, and the Croatian Club. Tom enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandkids at the park, and playing cards. Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years Patricia (nee Dlugos); sons, Thomas E. Williams Jr. of Amherst, and Mark A. (Christine) Williams of N. Olmsted; daughter, Holly M. Williams of Lorain; grandchildren, Jade A. Williams, Rachel G. Williams, Trent Thomas Williams, Shayla E. Williams, and Mark A. Williams II; brother, Louis J. (Betty) Williams of Lorain; sister, Eldora James of Newport, TN; and sister-in-law, Barb Angello of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rocho Angello. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home and Cremation Service 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Deacon Bob Dybo officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery with graveside military honors conducted by American Legion Post 30, and V.F.W. Post 451.
