Thomas Hauff

Thomas A. "Thor" Hauff, 40 of Vermilion, died suddenly Saturday, September 23, 2006 at his home after a sudden illness He was born July 8, 1966 in Norwalk, OH and has been a life long Vermilion resident. He graduated in 1985 from Vermilion High School and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He worked as an Independent master carpenter. Thomas was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion. He enjoyed playing poker, camping, and spending time with his daughter. Survivors include his daughter Vada Hauff; parents Richard and Hazel (nee Policy) Hauff; sisters, Cindy and Susan Hauff of Toledo; brother Jeff Hauff of St. Louis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents: Eldon and Dorothy Policy and paternal grandparents, Albert and Ruth Hauff. Friends may call Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006 from 6-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at 10:00 am. The Reverend Guy Morton, pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church, will officiate.
