Thomas E. Pesek, 78, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at his home after a brief illness. He was born January 19, 1941 in Cleveland and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 38 years moving from Cleveland. Thomas worked as a Union Painter for Frank Novak and Sons, Cleveland for 46 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion where he was involved with the Knights of Columbus. Thomas served on the Contractors Board with the City of Vermilion and Volunteered with the Catholic Charities Soup Kitchen. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and painting. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy (nee Ols) Pesek of Vermilion; daughters, Sherry Pesek-Trent of Sagamore Hills; Terry (Kelly Krantz) Pesek of Alliance; and Sarah Pesek of New York, NY; grandchildren, Kristen (Christopher) Molnar, Kaitlyn Trent, and Matthew (fiancé Jayln Effertz) Trent; and his brother, Edward (Joyce) Pesek of Euclid. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Florence (nee Wisniewski) Pesek and his sister, Carol Pawlak. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019 from 11 am until the time of a Memorial Mass at 11:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion ,OH 44089.
