Thomas M. Yarsa ,65, of Lorain, passed away after a long illness Sunday, February 15, 2015 at his residence. Thomas was born January 12, 1950 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident . He was a veteran of the Army Reserve. Thomas worked for U.S. Gypsum for over 25 years. He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain. He liked animals, especially cats and dogs, and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns games. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn E. Yarsa of Lorain; brother Ronald (Marilyn A.) Yarsa of Lorain; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Stella (nee Wasileski) Yarsa, and sister Gerry Yarsa. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20th from 2-4 p.m.at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will begin at the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 418 W. 15th St., Lorain.
