Timothy "Hippie" Neil Elgar, 71, of Rockton, PA passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born December 3, 1947 in Lorain, Ohio. The son of Herbert E. Elgar and Dorothy (nee Pruzek) Elgar. Timothy was a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst, Ohio. He joined the Marine Corp in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1969 as a Corporal. He became a machinist and worked with Rockwell International until his retirement. He lived in the DuBois, PA area for over 40 years. He enjoyed camping, motorcycles, and casinos when available. He is survived by his longtime companion, Pam DeSalve Gildersleeve of DeBois, PA; brother, Bert S. (Judy) Elgar of Amherst, OH; and nieces Lisa (Ray) Dietsche, Sheri (Shawn) Luster, and Sandy (Bob) Duplay. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services for Timothy and his father, Herbert will be Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Chaplain Jim Smucker will officiate. Military Honors will be presented by the Vermilion Veterans Council just prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
